Netfilter developer workshop 2003, Budapest
The netfilter core team is pleased to announce the netfilter developer
workshop 2003, held in Budapest, Hungary.
Update:: Jozsef has made a small page about the proceedings of this 2nd netfilter developer workshop.
Following the successful netfilter developer workshop 2001 (Enschede,
Netherland), we are now planning to organize netfilter developer meetings in
a regular manner.
The workshop will be held in Budapest, Hungary on Aug 18 - Aug 20, 2003.
The invited participants are the netfilter coreteam members and about 10
other developers. Invited participants can attend the conference for free and
don't have to pay for a hotel stay of three nights.
The conference discussions are open to the public, so this
is your ideal chance of getting in touch with the technical people behind the
netfilter/iptables project. If you want to attend the workshop as non-invited
(non-sponsored) guest, please contact us at
workshop@netfilter.org.
The planned agenda for the workshop is
- iptables2/pkttables design
- nfnetlink/ctnetlink/pkttnetlink
- connection tracking issues
- tc + packet filtering
- bridging packet filters
- stateful failover
- profiling/benchmarking
- nf-hipac
- netfilter in other protocols (ARP, MPLS, SCTP, ...)

The workshop is held at the KFKI Research
Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics (KFKI RMKI) at the KFKI campus in Budapest, Hungary. Please read
the detailed description on how to get to the KFKI
campus.
The hotel rooms are reserved at Hotel
Sunlight, which is reasonably near to the campus. (Reading the description
above the hotel is at the water tower on the top of
Svábhegy (Swabian-hill).
As most of you arrive by plane it is strongly suggested you to
take an Airport Minibus to get to the hotel instead of taking a taxi.
We have created a mailinglist for further discussion of the
Agenda and general coordination. Feel free to subscribe at
